Heartland UK/Europe is the European arm of The Heartland Institute, one of the world’s most prominent free-market think tanks known for advancing skepticism about man-made climate change and promoting policies that support individual liberty and economic freedom.

With a strong foundation of science-based research, Heartland UK/Europe is committed to pushing back against climate alarmism, overregulation, and ideologically driven initiatives like Net Zero. Led by Executive Director Lois Perry, we are strategically positioned in London to engage directly with policymakers in the United Kingdom and across Europe, providing them with evidence-based resources to shape forward-thinking, freedom-oriented policies.

For over 40 years, The Heartland Institute has played a leading role in global policy debates, working with hundreds of respected climate scientists, economists, and policy experts to challenge regulatory overreach and support growth-focused solutions. Heartland has hosted 15 International Conferences on Climate Change in the United States, Europe, and Australia, offering a platform for rigorous scientific discussion and transatlantic collaboration.

Through initiatives like the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC), launched in 2008 as a counterbalance to the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), The Heartland Institute has established itself as a key player in promoting balanced and evidence-driven climate discourse.
